Leona Tockey raised a family of five and then returned to college to become a licensed Family Therapist. After twenty-five years as a successful therapist and the publication of her novel Forget the Night, Leona retired to Sonoma County, where she continues with her lifelong commitment to offer connection, peace, and healing in the world.

The Masks of Death: Leona Tockey was overtaken by grief and loss following the deaths of her husband and two adult sons within a short period of time. She discovered healing and freedom through creating the masks, story, music and dance that became The Masks of Death. Leona offered this uniquely inspiring performance for many years to help others approach death and grief in conscious and healing ways. Now 82, she has entrusted this tradition to Bonney Meyer, her friend and spiritual daughter.
