• 300 personal family ceremonies, home funerals, wakes and green burials

Level Two Topics:
• Interviewing families concerning a person dying or deceased
• What to have in your home funeral midwifery kit
• Care for the midwives
• Use of essential oils for personal care, anointing and healing properties
• Forms for agencies and families in your community
• The funeral industry in our country today and multi-cultural perspectives
• Hands-on techniques of moving and carrying a body
• Films on death in other cultures, green burials and more home-based funerals

Course Fee: $395 PER Level if paid by February 22nd; $415 after. You may take Level One or both Level One and Two together.
Discount of $40 for those enrolled for Level 1 and 2 and FULLY PAID by February 22nd.
Fee includes Final Passages' Guidebook for Creating Home Funerals and meals.
Non-refundable deposit of $125 for Level One or $250 for both due by October 1st to hold your space.
Enrolling only for Level One (Friday and Saturday) is allowed.

Final Passages "Honoring Life's Final Passage" Level 3
Certification for Death Midwifery and Home Funeral Guidance

Our Level 3 course offers more in-depth information surrounding home funerals and the national movement. Along with further instruction by Final Passages director Jerrigrace Lyons, there will be guest instructors to share their skills and wisdom on subjects such as grief, family dynamics, a variety of ceremonial styles and rituals, death meditation and labyrinth journeying, mock home funeral practice and exploration and guidance for starting a business or home funeral support group in your area. Participants will be invited to express music, poetry and other related art forms and there will be opportunities for integration in nature at the beautiful Mountain Home Ranch in Calistoga. Each person attending Level 3 will receive a certificate of completion for the Level 1-3 classroom curriculum.

There will be another certificate offered for the Practitioner Level of completion following these classroom courses. The Practitioner Level will consist of a mentoring program either as a resident receiving first-hand field experience with an instructor or by completing forms about your participation in the field from your own hometown or state with possible consultations with Jerrigrace Lyons. The practitioner program is still being developed and there will be more details given at Level 3.

Level 3 will begin on the Friday evening of May 17th and end on Tuesday, May 21st at 3:00 pm. It will be held at Mountain Home Ranch in Calistoga, CA. This is in Sonoma County about 20 minutes from Santa Rosa and 10 minutes from Calistoga. The Ranch is 300 acres of magnificent beauty in the redwoods and wilderness. This ranch was built in 1913 and is still in the original owner's family. It is vintage 50's style, comfortable, clean and cozy. The land has lots of hiking trails, a lake, a heated pool, a labyrinth and a sulfur spring. Their website can be found at www.mountainhomeranch.com.
